PillBird

About PillBird

PillBird is a calm, cycle-aware reminder app for every birth control method. It is built for people who want their contraception routine to feel quiet, kind, and low-maintenance — not clinical or noisy.

Why PillBird exists

Most reminder apps fall into one of two traps: they feel sterile and medical, or they are generic alarm apps that know nothing about how birth control actually works. PillBird sits in the gap. It is specific enough to understand pills, patches, rings, the shot, IUDs, and implants, but calm enough to live on your home screen without adding stress.

Birth control is a daily, weekly, monthly, or multi-year commitment depending on your method. The mental load of remembering it — and of recovering gracefully when life gets in the way — is real. PillBird is designed to carry that load quietly so you don't have to think about it until it matters.

What it does

PillBird tracks your method, reminds you at the right moments, and helps you log how you feel over time. Everything is method-aware, so the home screen, reminders, and recovery steps change depending on whether you take a daily pill or get a shot every few weeks.

  • Method-aware reminders for daily, weekly, monthly, and long-acting contraception
  • Pack tracking with active and placebo days laid out clearly
  • Mood, symptom, and period logging alongside your dose history
  • Calm missed-dose recovery with method-specific next steps
  • Offline-first tracking that works without a connection

How we work

PillBird is intentionally self-serve. The app is meant to explain itself, keep setup short, and never require a support conversation for normal use — including deleting your account and data.

It is also local-first by design. Your logs and settings live on your device, which keeps you in control of your information and means the app keeps working when you're offline.

What PillBird is not

PillBird is a tracking and reminder app. It is not contraception itself, it is not a medical device, and it does not replace advice from your clinician or the instructions that came with your prescription.

We don't diagnose conditions, prescribe medication, or guarantee outcomes. When something is urgent or unclear, the right move is always to contact a healthcare professional.
