What's new
A short record of the latest PillBird updates, focused on calmer reminders, clearer control, and safer day-to-day planning.
Latest update - May 31, 2026
This update focuses on user control: smarter safety guidance, more predictable sync behavior, clearer data policies, and small UI fixes before testing.
- Smart Next Step plans now pull together late-dose recovery, backup windows, refill risk, period prep, and all-clear states
- Method switching now shows a personalized plan with start date, protection target, cycle day, and active bleed context
- Large timezone jumps can use a stepwise travel reminder transition instead of only moving or keeping the reminder time
- Low-priority For you cards can be snoozed so the dashboard stays curated
Sync and data control
Cloud sync remains opt-in and user-controlled. Local imports do not enable sync, and synced logs now update the app surfaces that depend on them.
- Manual Sync now pulls encrypted cloud logs, merges them into local SQLite, then pushes the converged log set
- Calendar and Insights refresh from imported or synced logs instead of only settings
- Encrypted and plain JSON imports are explicit local actions and strip cloud-sync control fields
- Account deletion now also requests removal of authenticated profile, share, subscription, and cloud sync records where applicable
Trust, billing, and web discovery
Policy and web metadata were brought in line with the app's current model: the base app works without sign-in, while Plus/payment-linked and authenticated features are optional.
- Privacy, terms, data-handling, and account-deletion pages now consistently describe Firebase Auth, RevenueCat, Cloudflare R2, and opt-in sync
- Refund policy added: 14 days for monthly Plus, 1 month for annual Plus, and no refunds for Lifetime / Forever purchases
- SEO/AEO/LLMO setup now includes keyword metadata, JSON-LD, sitemap, robots, manifest, and llms.txt
- Canonical and social preview images are wired for richer sharing
Polish before testing
A few small interaction details were tightened so the product feels more consistent during the next test pass.
- Android back-button app exit now uses a themed Stay / Exit confirmation modal
- The Every method, one app feature card now renders its icon consistently
- Sparkle icons were removed from For you and streak-related cards
- Refund, sync, and data-control copy now match across mobile and web
